Tell us why you should be Troop of the Moment?: On
Saturday 23rd November, thanks to Laurence Marshall, Upchurch Scouts had a day
trip to Belgium to see the War graves and to visit the Menin Gate. We have been
helping the Royal British Legion by making and selling poppies, we had our own
Remembrance parade and service in the village Church and this visit finished
everything off really well. To make things even better, we were able to invest
3 new Scouts right under the Menin Gate just before the Extended last post
Ceremony, which was accompanied by a Scots Band. It was a moving moment for all
of us, and especially for the 3 new Scouts. Hopefully a lifetime of memories.
